GeNUCard
Compact IT security to go for mobile users
Inserted in your laptop, the GeNUCard safeguards data communication via all external interfaces. For this purpose, the following security systems have been installed on this compact card:
- Firewall
- VPN Gateway
- Token function
VPN via All Available Means
Now, when a connection to an external target is requested, the firewall first checks whether or not this communication is permissible. Only connections that have been expressly authorized will be permitted, while any other requests will be consistently blocked by the firewall. For authorized connections, the GeNUCard creates a strongly encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN) for the configured receiver – all data communication is then carried out exclusively via this completely secure connection. And you can choose from any of the currently available means – from Ethernet or WLAN, Bluetooth or mobile radio, or even satellite paths. Additional security features include authentication and key handling using a token function. Without this key nobody can initiate a connection with your company network.

Autonomous card guarantees a high level of security
This combination of features provides security for data communication that mobile users can rely on. But that’s not all – with the GeNUCard, you also have another significant advantage. Our security device isn’t installed on the laptop that it is supposed to protect – instead, it is installed on an autonomous card with its own operating system, which enables the GeNUCard to remain fully functional even if the laptop has already been compromised through careless handling. This means you are guaranteed the highest level of IT security, just when it matters most – in an emergency!
Additional features available as auxiliary modules
Are there any other features you would like? Our compact card has space for additional applications, and can be extended by adding modules such as an intrusion detection system, or a traffic optimization feature, which greatly increases the speed of data transfer via satellite paths. We are happy to develop other modules on request from the customer.
Seal of Quality: BSI Certification
As proof of the high quality, we will certify our mobile solution to Common Criteria EAL 4+ by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). This is the highest level that can be applied for complex security systems. Additionally, the GeNUCard can already function securely with IPv6, so that our customers can be assured of having installed a top-quality, future-proof solution.
Simply plug in for secure communication
Our mobile security device is really easy to use: simply insert the GeNUCard in the Express Card slot on your laptop, and it will provide a high level of security for data communication, no matter which means you use. For this purpose, the compact card comes with the following interfaces:
- Ethernet (for Internet and LAN)
- USB (for UMTS, GPRS)
- SD Card (for WLAN, and Bluetooth)
- Smard card
Central administration via Management Station
The GeNUCard is administered via a local GUI, which you can customize according to your requirements and corporate design. If you have a large number of field staff that you would like to equip with our security device, we can offer you the GeNUCenter Central Management Station as an administration solution. This enables you to keep track of the status of all your mobile security systems from your head office, uniformly implement your desired configuration, monitor correct functioning, and transfer updates easily – achieving a top IT security level.
