GeNUCard
Compact IT Security Device
You can connect the GeNUCard with laptop or PC (via Express Card Slot, and from version 2 via USB). It safeguards data communication via all external interfaces. For this purpose, the following security systems have been installed on this compact card:
- Firewall
- VPN Gateway
- Smart card

VPN via All Available Means
Now, when a connection to an external target is requested, the firewall first checks whether or not this communication is permissible. Only connections that have been expressly authorized will be permitted, while any other requests will be consistently blocked by the firewall. For authorized connections, the GeNUCard creates a strongly encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN) for the configured receiver – all data communication is then carried out exclusively via this completely secure connection. And you can choose from any of the currently available means – from Ethernet or WLAN, Bluetooth or mobile radio, or even satellite paths. Optional security features include authentication and key handling via smart card. Without this key nobody can initiate a connection with your company network.
Autonomous Card Guarantees a High Level of Security
This combination of features provides security for data communication that mobile users can rely on. But that’s not all – with the GeNUCard, you also have another significant advantage. Our security solution isn’t installed on the laptop that it is supposed to protect – instead, it is installed on an autonomous device with its own operating system, which enables the GeNUCard to remain fully functional even if the laptop has already been compromised through careless handling. This means you are guaranteed the highest level of IT security, just when it matters most – in an emergency!

The GeNUCard will provide a high level of security for data communication, no matter which means you use. For this purpose, it comes with the following interfaces:

The GeNUCard can already function securely with IPv6, so that our customers can be assured of having installed a top-quality, future-proof solution.
Central Administration via Management Station
Users can choose the Internet and VPN profiles via a local GUI while the configuration and administration of the GeNUCard are centrally processed via the GeNUCenter management station. This enables the administrator to monitor the status of all your mobile security systems from the headquarters, to implement a standardized configuration, to control correct operation, and to transfer updates easily – for a top IT security level.
