Security Network Munich Founded
genua is a founding member of the Security Network Munich (Sicherheitsnetzwerk München). The network was formally set up as a non-profit organization on the 10th of January 2019. A management committee was elected, with Dr. Magnus Harlander, founder and shareholder of genua now being a member. The Security Network Munich is supported by the Bavarian state government.
Partnership for IT Security
The security Network Munich brings together companies and research institutions in IT and IT security and aims at facilitating cooperation between partners. Goals of the organization include bundling the expertise of participating companies, communicating IT security information to a wider audience and supporting cooperative research and development projects. In addition, the organization advocates for the development and implementation of technical standards as well as the future availability of skilled staff.
Start of the Munich Cyber Security Conference
The Security Network Munich is organizing the Munich Cyber Security Conference (MCSC), which will take place on the 14th February in the city in the Bayerischer Hof hotel. At the conference representatives from politics, research and industry will discuss strategies and management concepts for handling current threat scenarios as well as the further development of effective cyber-security measures. The patrons of the conference are Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, and Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy.
