GeekWeek 2019 at genua
This year started for the technical staff at genua with another GeekWeek, which took place at our site in Kirchheim and in Königsdorf from the 7th to the 11th of January. Over the years, the format has developed into a favorite, leading to an exchange of information, ideas and innovations. We were also able to welcome staff from the German Federal Printing Office Bundesdruckerei and Cryptovision.
Broad Subject Range
The subjects covered a wide range including possible applications for blockchain, post-quantum cryptography, machine learning, the security of open source operating systems, the reliability of biometric systems and sandboxing for malware analysis.
Example Project: Process Innovation in Product Development
One participant looked, for example, at the requirements of the approval procedure for IT security solutions. He used a range of tools to develop a system to automate, visualize, simplify, and accelerate the internal preparation and submission processes for approval. The results of this project will be implemented in project development.
The GeekWeek was rounded off with an in-house event where the projects were presented to all those interested.
