Email encryption
Emails can be just as easily viewed on their way from the sender to the recipient as a postcard. Contents like draft agreements, quotations, costings or job applications should accordingly be emailed only in encrypted form. Mechanisms for this include PGP and S/MIME. If the email is encrypted, a virus check is no longer possible from a central location, but has to be carried out on the workplace machines after decryption.
