current questions and challenges in the area of IT security in detail.
GeNUA belongs to BAVARIAN'S BEST 50. The Bavarian Department of Commerce gives this award to medium-sized companies which have achieved above average growth in business volume as well as number of employees during the last years. The financial statement of GeNUA from 2005 to 2009: Net sales increased by 66 percent to 8.75 million Euros, the number of employees doubled to more than 130. The Bavarian Secretary of Commerce Mr. Martin Zeil (on the left) handed the award over to Dr. Michaela Harlander, Managing Director of GeNUA.

RESTRICTED. Now the armed forces and public authorities can encrypt and securely transfer classified data via public networks with both
appliances.
Here it goes: At the Tech Convention GeNUA informed the sales partners about new features and the further development of all IT security solutions. Great attention caught a lecture of Prof. Jean-Pierre Seifert on hardly known dangers which lurk from hacking attacks on the hardware.The participants also took the opportunity to sample GeNUA's new IT security solutions at several technology points and to talk to the producer's experts.
There are admitted, certificated and accredited IT security systems - which has to be used for what purpose in the public sector? GeNUA informed the guests about this topic at the Public Authority Day, other subjects were the actual introduction of IPv6 and the risks caused by botnets. The participants also took the opportunity to sample GeNUA's new IT security solutions at several technology points and to talk to the producer's experts.

GeNUA presented its highlight: The IPv6 capable two-tier GeNUGate firewall version 7.0, designed to enable an organization to migrate to the new Internet standard without compromising IT security.
The GeNUScreen firewall also attracted a lot of attention with its modular security functions that can be expanded to a custom Unified Threat Management Appliance.
At the GeNUKids opening ceremony, Dr. Michaela Harlander, CEO of the company GeNUA, received a gift from Mr Thomas Kroll, an advisor from the Munich Regional Workers Welfare Association. The GeNUA day care center provides full-time supervision for children of employees as well as local children from Kirchheim. Ages range from three months up
to twelve years.
Mrs Christine Haderthauer, the Bavarian Minister for Family Affairs (left) visited the GeNUKids to find out more about GeNUA's day-care center. Afterwards, Minister Haderthauer attended a meeting of the local CSU party to present and discuss her views on family politics with the numerous guests attending.
